DZ-CON: Focus on training, corporate communications and crisis communications
Düsseldorf, September 4, 2023 – Carsten Deuster (56) will establish DZ-CON GmbH, an independent consulting and training company. The long-standing managing partner will leave SKM Consultants GmbH at the end of 2023, together with his team of direct reports, in order to independently offer tailor-made training and consulting services to existing and new customers in the future. In addition to focusing on corporate communications and crisis communications, the new company will place particular emphasis on continuing successful training operations.
The new company will be established on January 1, 2024, and until then the existing business of Carsten Deuster's team will continue as part of SKM Consultants GmbH. The future company, DZ-CON GmbH (Deuster Zinkhan Consulting), will be formed from Deuster’s existing SKM Consultants team and strengthened by the presence of negotiation trainer and consultant Andreas Zinkhan as co-managing director.
Mandates, which Carsten Deuster and his team have been handling up until this point, will be advised by DZ-CON GmbH in the future. This will ensure maximum continuity for clients and employees after the establishment of the new entity. In addition, the new company will use SKM Consultants’ offices in Düsseldorf and Berlin until April 2024.
Carsten Deuster: "We have developed from a company with two communications trainers into a medium-sized communications consultancy with 21 permanent employees. However, the management of our client portfolios was largely independent of each other. Therefore, it is consistent and logical that from the beginning of 2024 we will choose a set-up with SKM Consultants and DZ-CON that corresponds to our lived consulting practice."

The companies will continue to inform their clients about the concrete steps of the plan and its implementation. This also applies to the set-up of offices and locations after April 2024.
